Lucio Fontana, Marcello Mariani. From Earth to Space

Fontana called the fragments of coloured glass "Stones". The stones, applied to the perforated surface create a further implied spatial dimension. Marcello Mariani modeled his Bread-Stones in memory of the ancestral path of the Abruzzo rocks forged between earth and space.
